Subject: [lug] Press Release: Linux Install Fest in Fort Collins To: nclug@nclug.org, lug@boulder.nist.gov Date: Mon, 31 Aug 1998 09:18:17 -0600 (MDT) From: Mike Loseke <mike@verinet.com> Monday, August 31st For Immediate Release: "Get Linux installed on your computer, fast and easy" The Northern Colorado Linux Users Group (NCLUG) is helping people get Linux installed on their very own computers by holding an Install Fest in Fort Collins. NCLUG members, along with co-sponsors tummy.com, Front Range Internet and Verinet Communications, will be at the Lory Student Center, on the campus of Colorado State University, on Sunday September 13th to assist students and members of the public in the installation of the Linux computer operating system. The doors will be open from 10am till 5pm with no entrance fee. Linux is a powerful operating system for all makes and models of computers, and is fast becoming one of the most popular operating systems on the Internet today. However, installing it is not so easy for those new to it. That is why NCLUG is holding this Install Fest: to help people learn about Linux and how to install and configure it to get the most out of their computer. People are encouraged to bring their computer to the Install Fest so that they may obtain expert assistance in installing and configuring the Linux computer operating system. They are also invited to just watch and learn. For more information, visit the NCLUG web site at www.nclug.org, send email to fest@nclug.org or call Mike Loseke at (970) 207-1897. -- Mike Loseke | Users are simply nature's way of mike@verinet.com | keeping me from hogging the processor. ----------------------------------------------------- Boulder Linux Users Group: http://lug.boulder.co.us -----------------------------------------------------
