What:   The Open Source Revolution:  How software engineering
        might finally grow up.

When:   Thursday, October 15, 1998, 6:00 p.m.

Where:  Trabant University Center Theater, Basement

Eric S. Raymond is an accomplished software engineer and
 pioneer in the development, advancement, and advocacy of
 open source software such as the Linux operating system.
 Currently a consultant for Thyrsus Enterprises, Mr.
 Raymond has also written familiar open source texts such
 as The Cathederal and the Bazaar and has been involved
 with the development of many open source software
 utilities including Fetchmail and Emacs. In addition, Mr.
 Raymond maintains The Jargon File, the Termcap database,
 and Chester County Interlink, a local ISP.
