             1st MICO/CORBA WORKSHOP

             November, 23rd, 1998, Darmstadt, Germany

             Call for Participation

We are proud to announce the first workshop on MICO, an open source
project that aims at providing a free CORBA ORB. MICO is widely used
in research and industry. The workshop aims at bringing together users
and developers of MICO, explaining internal details as well as
applications based on MICO. The workshop includes an overview of CORBA
as well as design issues of the MICO ORB by the people who are
actively involved in the project. Besides presenting the status quo,
we will discuss MICO's future.

The workshop will be held on 23.11.98 at the Technologiezentrum of the
Deutsche Telekom AG in Darmstadt, Germany. Participation is free of
charge. Free coffee and copies of the slides will be provided to all
participants. After the official end of the workshop we intend to meet
at a local pub to continue our discussions in an informal
setting. Note that food and drinks are at each participants own
expense. If you would like to join us please mention this
in your registration so that we can make appropriate reservations.

People who would like to attend should send a mail to
wurm@tzd.telekom.de or a fax to ++49-6151-83-4090. Please include your
