From: John Stump <johnstump@iname.com> Subject: ANNOUNCE: tuba-2.5.b1 featuring [incr tcl] support Date: 6 Jan 1999 10:49:57 -0800 Announcement for Tuba version 2.5.b1 MAIN WEBSITE: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Ridge/2549/tuba/ ALT WEBSITE: http://comanche.com.dtu.dk/john/tuba/ mailto:johnstump@iname.com This is an announcement of Tuba 2.5.b1 which offers preliminary support for debugging [incr tcl] scripts. From the CHANGES.html file: * Feature: preliminary Itcl support. Tuba now instruments the code in body, configbody, constructors, destructors, and method code bodies. Breakpoints can be set on these and inside them. Tuba is still not very itcl-aware, as it will refer to all of these as "procedures". * One big bug still outstanding is that Tuba cannot see the variables of an object in the Variable browser, but if you highlight a variable and show it, it displays fine. Please visit the Tuba home page for a complete description of all the changes and the distribution. ********************************************************************** What is Tuba? Tuba is a visual Tcl/Tk/Itcl debugger. Tuba should work on any Tcl 8.0 platform that supports the socket command. Itcl debugging requires at least Tcl/Tk 8.0.3. I have only tested it on Linux, SunOS, and Windows 95, but other users have verified it works on other platforms. ********************************************************************** ------------------------------------------------------------------ Upcoming features: * better Windows support * brand new GUI ------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------- MAIN WEBSITE: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Ridge/2549/tuba/ ALT WEBSITE: http://comanche.com.dtu.dk/john/tuba/ mailto:johnstump@iname.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- John Stump [[Send Tcl/Tk announcements to tcl-announce@mitchell.org Send administrivia to tcl-announce-request@mitchell.org Announcements archived at http://www.findmail.com/list/tcl_announce/ The primary Tcl/Tk archive is ftp://ftp.neosoft.com/pub/tcl/ ]]
