  As you may know, the SB-Live card uses the EMU 10K1 chipset.  All
programming information for this chipset is proprietary to EMU.

  Creative Labs is under NDA and can not release any requested hardware
programming information for the SB-Live card.

  As for SB-Live Drivers for Linux, the 4Front Technologies WEB page stated
that they should have drivers sometime in the 2nd Quarter of 1999. I can
only assume that they have already contacted Creative Labs and EMU and made
arrangements for obtaining the required information.

  But, if you know of another company that provides sound card drivers for
Linux and/or other UNIX systems, and can meet the NDA requirements from EMU,
then maybe they could create SB-Live drivers sooner.

  From my understanding, EMU has not released this information to any
company that is not producing the card that it is on.  But then again, I am
not an EMU employee and am not privilege with such internal information.

  Until EMU decides to make such information public, Creative Labs can not
provide any such programming resources.
