Here is the 3rd issue of Midgard Weekly Summary, created for helping people interested in The Midgard Project to keep up with latest developments. -A slow week This has been a slow week for Midgard development as both Jukka and I have been busy with work matters. A lot of new developments are bubbling under the surface however, and we expect to many new things released in near future. -First version of Midgard FAQ Midgard's FAQ maintainer Jonni Lehtiranta (alokas@greywolves.org) told me that first version of Midgard's FAQ will be released in next few days. Expect to see it during 10th-11th of June. The FAQ has been compiled from questions and answers gathered from Midgard mailing list's archives and will be published on both the Midgard list and The Midgard Project's web site. -Work on Midgard 1.1 has begun Jukka has started working on the next major release of Midgard. The new version will contain many new features and will also clean up the interface between Midgard, PHP and the database. The new code is not yet in the CVS as it would break the current servers. We hope to get it out to other developers as soon as possible. -Looking for a demo server The Midgard Project is now looking for a server to run a demo of Midgard on. The idea would be to have a publicly-available host running both Midgard Admin Site and the example site which visitors could try modifying. All new changes would then be removed every 12 hours or so. If you have a spare server on which you could host these sites, then you should contact Henri Bergius (Henri.Bergius@iki.fi) about it. The Midgard Project will of course help with getting the server up and running. -New Midgard banners Janne Puonti (jannep@sgic.fi) has made new Midgard advertisements available. -> http://www.midgard-project.org/news/877.html I think that's all for this week. Next week we'll propably have again more things to announce. Stay tuned. ;-) /Bergie -- -- Henri Bergius -- +358 40 525 1334 -- Henri.Bergius@iki.fi -- http://www.iki.fi/Henri.Bergius
