FSMLabs releases BETA RealTime Linux V3.0 based on Linux 2.3.x Bug reports to support@fsmlabs.com Just when you thought that the Y2K crisis was over, BETA for Version 3.0 RTLinux is released. This version is based on Linux 2.3.35 and contains nothing very new at the API level but the brave, talented, and Y2K compliant RTLinux maintainers need to update their packages. SMP does not yet work on this beta, but, if you look, you will find most code is there. This version of RTLinux relies on the Linux IRQ rewrite to make the RTLinux patch simpler. There is a Beta version of RTLinux V3 for PowerPC available on a delayed GPL to the general public and being released to Synergy Micro. If you would like to see PPC code on a non-GPL basis right away, please send email to yodaiken@fsmlabs.com. If you can wait, PPC should release before LinuxExpo in NYC. Version 2.x is still under active development and is the production platform. Mutexes will be released this week plus a simplified V1 compatability patch. --- [rtl] --- To unsubscribe: echo "unsubscribe rtl" | mail majordomo@rtlinux.cs.nmt.edu OR echo "unsubscribe rtl <Your_email>" | mail majordomo@rtlinux.cs.nmt.edu ---- For more information on Real-Time Linux see: http://www.rtlinux.org/~rtlinux/
