Jon "maddog" Hall is the Executive Director of Linux International, the non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the word about Linux to both business and personal computer users. Maddog has been working in the Unix marketplace for 17 years, ranging from a software developer to a marketing director to a professional educator. His talks are always well received and he promises a brand new talk for CLIQ: "Linux Around the World", a look at Linux in countries all around the world, from embedded and end user systems to supercomputers, for medical research, education, business and more. Dave Whitinger is one of the two original founders of LinuxToday, one of the oldest and most well respected Linux news sites. In the wake of his recent success with LinuxToday, Dave has moved on to a new venture - LinSight - under the helpful guide of Atipa Linux Solutions. Always an energetic speaker, Dave will bring his insight into the business of Linux - the IPO/merger environment, its future and impact on Linux development. About the event CLIQ, in association with local Linux user groups and local and regional Linux business sponsors, will be holding a one day event featuring a full days schedule of Linux exhibits, invited talks, real world demonstrations and Birds of a Feather sessions. The event is expected to draw at least 600 people to view exhibits, talks, demos and actively participate in Birds of a Feather sessions.
