LINUX NETWORX SECURES $2 MILLION IN INVESTMENT FUNDING
To Date, Large-scale Cluster Provider Has Raised More Than $5 Million

	SANDY, UTAH, APRIL 28, 2000 - Linux NetworX Inc., a recently-formed provider
of large-scale clustered computer solutions, announced today the addition of
more than $2 million in equity funding from private investor the Canopy Group.
To date, Linux NetworX and its parent company Alta Technology have raised more
than $5 million to help develop additional cluster technology and services, acquire
products, form strategic partnerships and extend market penetration.

"This latest funding addition is another step for Linux NetworX as it works
to position itself as the leader in large-scale computer cluster solutions,"
said Glen Lowry, president and CEO of Linux NetworX. "Several of Canopy Group's
companies share compatible and complementary technology to Linux NetworX. We
anticipate forming some strategic partnerships because of this new relationship
as well."

Linux NetworX (www.linuxnetworx.com) uses the Linux operating system to create
a reliable and cost-effective alternative to the "super computer" for organizations
demanding high performance and extremely low failure rates. With the use of cluster
computer technology, a method of linking multiple computers through high-speed
networks to form a single system, Linux NetworX provides solutions for companies
with high-computing needs, including Internet servers, research, industry, government
and other technological fields.

"We recognize the market potential for the high performance and highly scalable
cluster computing solutions Linux NetworX offers," said Ralph Yarro, president
and CEO of Canopy Group. "Linux NetworX will be a great addition to the other
emerging technologies currently with the Canopy Group."

About The Canopy Group
As a venture-capital, management and resource Corporation, the Canopy Group
is devoted to growing the high-tech industry through funding and influencing
emerging technologies. Focused on technology, Canopy tries to add technologies

or technologies that could compete against each other.

About the Linux Operating System
Linux is a computer operating system that is distributed freely on the Internet.
As an open source project, Linux allows developers to share information, code
and suggestions to continuously maintain and improve the system. Linux NetworX
selected the operating system for its stability, reliability and rapid development.
