LUTRIS TECHNOLOGIES DELIVERS ON CORPORATE
GROWTH STRATEGY
Open Source Enterprise Software and Services Company Opens International
Offices
and Expands Management Team

Santa Cruz, Calif., May 8, 2000-Lutris Technologies, Inc. today announced
the opening of a new office in Watford, England that serves as the company's
UK center for software development and professional services activities. In
addition, Lutris has added new board members and executive staff to its
management team to support continued corporate expansion and growth of its
product and services offerings worldwide.

"We selected England as the first of our international expansion efforts to
quickly address the steady demand for Enhydra-based support and services,"
said Yancy Lind, president and CEO of Lutris Technologies. "The team in
England includes experienced Enhydra developers who are already building and
deploying applications, and helping to support the established international
Open Source development community."

In addition to its new office in England, Lutris strengthened its management
team and named new members to the board to help guide and manage the
company's potential growth. George Hoyem, managing director, Silicon Valley
partner companies, Redleaf Group, and Shane Robison, president of Internet
technology and development at AT&T Labs have joined the Lutris Board of
Directors, and Greg Kouvelas has joined Lutris as vice president of
corporate development.

Mr. Kouvelas brings more than 15 years of experience to his role of
facilitating corporate alliances and acquisitions at Lutris. His background
includes 11 years of investment banking experience with Robertson Stephens,
ING Barings and the Chicago Corporation, with a focus on raising capital and
executing mergers and acquisitions in the software and communications
sectors.

"The Open Source movement presents a unique opportunity for software
companies and their customers to completely change the way they do
business," said Mr. Kouvelas. "Lutris has developed a sound strategy based
on a belief that Open Source is a superior way to develop software and I'm
excited to be a part of its execution."

George Hoyem joined Redleaf as a Managing Director in 1999 and has over 18
years of operations experience in the high technology industry. Before
joining Redleaf, Mr. Hoyem was with El Dorado Ventures, where he was
responsible for spearheading the venture firm's Internet-related
investments. Prior to joining El Dorado Ventures, he served as vice
president and general manager, Internet Commerce Division for VeriFone & HP
and as founder and vice president, worldwide sales for Visix Software, Inc.

"Lutris has executed very well so far on its plan to deliver superior Open
Source software and services," explained Mr. Hoyem. "The combination of
high-quality Open Source software and experienced professional services and
support teams positions Lutris very well to take advantage of the
opportunities in the application server market. I look forward to being part
of the team."

Shane Robison brings nearly 20 years of high technology experience to his
board position with Lutris Technologies. As the President, Internet
Technology and Development, AT&T Labs, Mr. Robison is responsible for
