Code named the "Sundance Project", the new design will be unveiled August 15 at the LinuxWorld trade show in San Jose, Calif., and will feature marked improvements to airflow, density and maintenance access. "Our extensive experience building some of the world's largest clusters has helped the Linux NetworX engineering team identify advanced ways to improve critical issues not addressed by the standard chassis designs available today," said Glen Lowry, president and CEO of Linux NetworX. "Our initial prototype offers significant advantages over standard designs. New features include improved cooling and the ability to increase the number of processors that can fit into a standard rack without adversely effecting system temperature." The Sundance Project is one of many development projects currently underway at Linux NetworX to further advance its cluster technology. The new chassis design, along with other upcoming technology developments, will provide Linux NetworX customers with the most powerful cluster technology available. About Linux NetworX Linux NetworX (www.linuxnetworx.com) uses the Linux operating system to create a reliable and cost-effective alternative to the supercomputer and server platforms for organizations demanding high performance and low failure rates. With the use of cluster computer technology, a method of linking multiple computers through high-speed networks to form a single and more powerful system, Linux NetworX provides solutions for companies with high-computing needs, including Internet servers, research, industry, government and other technological fields. Linux NetworX offers products with extremely high availability, or uptime, that can easily grow with customer needs. About the Linux Operating System Linux is a computer operating system that is distributed freely on the Internet. As an open source project, Linux allows developers to share information, code and suggestions to continuously maintain and improve the system. Linux NetworX selected the operating system for its stability, reliability and rapid development. # # # Linux is a registered trademark owned by Linus Torvalds.
