Professo Releases AppStreamer SingleBox - ISP management platform automates
service provision, billing, marketing

New York, Nov. 1 -- ISP management software provider Professo announces the
release of AppStreamer, a unique application service management platform
for ISPs and other businesses offering Internet and ecommerce services.
AppStreamer runs on Red Hat Linux version 6.2 and Solaris 2.5.1 operating
systems.

A server on which AppStreamer is installed becomes an instant SP-in-a-box,
automating every aspect of application service. AppStreamer is the only
application service management tool that performs all of the following:

· Automates the creation, pricing, publishing, selling, provisioning, and
management of service packages
· Enables the SP's customers to self-manage their accounts
· Supports operations with billing functionality
 · Provides easy management of resellers and end users through multi-level
marketing

AppStreamer, which has been powering Professo's own data center, is now
available for single-box deployment (AppStreamer SingleBox) by service
providers offering dedicated and shared server hosting.

"While several software products manage various aspects of
Internet/ecommerce service for SMEs, no management tool besides AppStreamer
automates the full spectrum of operations necessary to sell, provision,
upgrade on demand, and bill ecommerce-enriched ISP services," said Patrice
Guyot, Professo's CEO.

At present, the AppStreamer platform automates core Internet/ecommerce
service provisioning -- domain registration, DNS configuration, Internet
access, hosting, email accounts, e-store building software, payment gateway
and merchant account. Professo's current ISV partners include Multiactive
Software, Miva, OpenMarket, Quantified, and ClickPay. Professo is
continuously working with independent software vendors to integrate new
applications on the AppStreamer platform. Customers will be charged only for
the applications they choose to use.

Professo is also in discussions with server appliance vendors, to whom
AppStreamer offers the opportunity to provide a real business solution to
their service provider customers. Professo expects AppStreamer to be
available pre-installed on server appliances by early 2001.

"Until now, the whole process of packaging, provisioning, and managing
services has been cumbersome and expensive," added Ajit Naidu, CTO at
Professo. "That means not only labor wasted for the SP, but frustrating
service delays and annoying procedures for end users. With AppStreamer
inside its servers, an SP can provide customers with one-click ordering and
instant provisioning."
