I wanted to let you know that the New Year has brought exciting developments to Penguin Computing. On Jan. 15 Penguin Computing will publicly announce that the company has appointed Marty Seyer as President and CEO of Linux hardware company Penguin Computing. Marty is a 19-year computer industry veteran with extensive experience in the enterprise server market. Marty created Dell's PowerEdge brand, and most recently served as General Manager of the high-availability server business at NCR. Marty's hiring is a clear indication that Penguin Computing will continue to drive its growth the old-fashioned way -- by being customer-centered from beginning to end, every time. Marty's objective in coming to Penguin Computing is to focus the company on operational excellence, and will lead new initiatives in customer relationship management and e-business integration with its customers, partners and suppliers. I'd like to schedule a briefing conference call between you and Marty on Thursday or Friday. We'd like to go over Marty's experience and his vision for where Penguin Computing is headed. Please let me know if you have any available time.
