Minor bugfixes, and the USB 2.0 hub feature bits are now visible. http://jusb.sourceforge.net/ This is a basic user mode API to USB (currently only on GNU/Linux) from Java. There's javadoc, it's LGPL'd, works with GCJ (as well as JVM's based on Sun's code). You can experiment with remote access to USB if you like. Works best with Linux 2.4 but 2.2.18+ can be made to behave too. Still doesn't support USB periodic transfers. This can be used from C/C++ too, using GCJ; see the website, and help make GCC 3.0 happen! Among other things, since GCJ compiles Java code into standard object files, you can use more of the standard Linux software tools (GDB, RPM, etc) when developing your apps. And yes, performance (such as startup time) is already a win (ymmv). - Dave _______________________________________________ linux-usb-devel@lists.sourceforge.net To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-devel
