FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LinuxPPC is doing something special to celebrate the release of Apple Mac OS X: they're giving away copies of the LinuxPPC operating system. LinuxPPC is staging a contest in which ten lucky people will receive a free copy of LinuxPPC 2000 Q4, the company's latest version of Linux for the Power Macintosh platform. They will also receive a copy of FWB Hard Disk Toolkit*PE, which is capable of repartitioning a hard disk without erasing it, and a LinuxPPC t-shirt. The contest is simple. To enter it, write a brief essay on why you use Linux on the PowerPC processor. There are no requirements as to the length of the essay. Ten winners will be selected over ten days from essays submitted through the contest web page. The contest runs from March 26, 2001 to April 6, 2001.
