FSMLabs CEO Victor Yodaiken Named Technical Advisor to EMBLIX

(June 20, 2001; Socorro NM, Tokyo Japan) Victor Yodaiken, founder and
CEO of Finite State Machine Labs: The RTLinux[tm] Company, has been
appointed technical advisor to EMBLIX, the Japanese Embedded Linux
Consortium.

John Cheuck, Vice-Chairman of EMBLIX, said, "We are very pleased to
welcome Dr. Yodaiken to our advisory board. He brings a wealth of
experience and insight from industry and academia to the Emblix
team, and we value his assistance and contribution in promoting
embedded Linux in Japan and worldwide."

EMBLIX is a vendor-neutral trade association dedicated to the promotion
and advancement of Linux-based solutions in embedded applications.
Representatives from 24 leading companies in Japan, including consumer
electronic manufacturers, embedded technology firms and academia, formed
EMBLIX in July 2000. Having grown to 86 members, EMBLIX is the
preeminent embedded Linux organization in Japan.

"Japan continues to be one of the leaders in embedded technology, and
Japanese engineers have come up with some of the most amazing
applications of RTLinux in embedded systems," said Yodaiken. "I'm
grateful for this honor and look forward to helping EMBLIX define and
advance the field."

FSMLabs is the creator and developer of RTLinux, a low-overhead hard
realtime operating system based on the POSIX 1003.13 PS51 "minimal
realtime" specification. RTLinux runs a general purpose operating system
(Linux or BSD) as an idle-time task which is never permitted to delay or
interfere with the actions of timing critical software. FSMLabs offers
RTLinux support for a wide range of PowerPC chips -- from SMP G4s to
embedded chips such as the 860 and the IBM PPC405GP.
