From: Matthias Kranz <mskranz@acm.org> To: lwn@lwn.net Subject: Press release Date: Tue, 31 Jul 2001 16:22:34 +0200 + https://www.buug.de goes online + http://www.buug.de goes online + We're proud to announce a new German weblog system which is engaged to the discussion of free and open source software on Unix- and similar operating systems. The site will present news, articles, tipps and tricks, as well as interviews with famous and less famous persons. The first guest is Carsten Wartmann, author of the Blender-book, which is published by dpunkt-Verlag in Germany, and by NoStarchPress in the U.S. Most articles in the discussion forum will be in German, though from time to time there will be English ones as well. Since we know that there is a very broad Open Source Software user base in Germany and German-speaking countries, we are convinced that the site will be a great success. The BUUG (Berlin Unix User Group) is a loosely coupled organization of users, administrators and developers on Unix-based Open Source Software, located in Berlin. Happy hacking, buug-Team -- Matthias Kranz mskranz@acm.org http://www.belug.org/~kranz
