Subject: [rl-announce] build 39, RC0, has been released
Date: Sat, 8 Sep 2001 14:02:28 -0700 (PDT)

hi all,

build 39 is now on ftp.redmondlinux.org and we have declared it RC0. this
first release candidate includes many bug fixes [more will be coming in
further release candidates].

until we more to a faster connection, ISO downloading from
ftp.redmondlinux.org will not be allowed; please use a mirror from the
list at http://www.redmondlinux.org/download.php to download ISO images.
mirrors will take 24 hours from now to sync to the new build. you can
still use the update wizard however.

this build is stable but needs a lot of testing. we request that you do a
clean install before you submit bug reports; if you have performed an
upgrade to RC0 instead, we will ask that you verify the bug still occurs
if you clean install RC0.

a press piece will be released monday to popular linux web sites
announcing this build, so expect slow download times. as an alternative,
purchasers of this build will not only receive a CD of the RC0 build but a
free upgrade to the final version when released. more purchase
information is at http://www.redmondlinux.org/purchase.php.

thanks!

joe
