Linux NetworX Wins Open Source Product Excellence Award at LinuxWorld
Best System Integration Solution Awarded to ICE Cluster Management Tools

Open 
Source Product Excellence Award at the LinuxWorld Expo in San Francisco for
its 
Integrated Cluster Environment (ICE)™. Winning the Best System Integration
Solution 
category, ICE cluster management consists of ClusterWorX® software and the
ICE 
Box™ hardware management tool. Combined, these two tools create an effective 
cluster management system for both high performance and high availability
computing 
systems.

ICE Box was previewed for the first time at last month's LinuxWorld Expo and 
played a significant role in winning a bid to build three Linux cluster
computing 
systems, totaling 472 processors, for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. 
ICE Box provides remote power monitoring, hard power control, and advanced
serial 
switching, which allows administrators to maintain a redundant serial
network. 
ClusterWorX is the cluster management software from Linux NetworX that allows 
administrators to control the cluster as a single system, and provides secure 
remote monitoring and management capabilities. 

A panel of industry experts representing Linux Magazine and UniForum
Association, 
a non-profit, vendor-independent association that promotes the advancement of 
open systems and networks, honored Linux NetworX and its ICE cluster
management 
tools over other finalists including Compaq, Computer Associates, IBM, and
Hewlett 
Packard.
