HRP-2P: Another Linux powered hackable humanoid robot

Kawada Industries, Inc. and AIST (National Institute of Advanced
Industrial Science and Technology), in cooperation with two other
companies, announced another Linux-powered hackable (
user-programmable; open architecture) humanoid robot "HRP-2P (Humanoid
Robotics Project-2 Prototype)" on March 19 (JST).

HRP-2P is based on ART-Linux.  They say that HRP-2P is being developed
to be a humanoid robot for work, not for entertainment.  It is 154cm
tall and weighs 58kg.

They are designing the look of the next version of HRP-2P with a designer
of the famous robots in TV animation.
