Everyones Internet Subsidiary RackShack Selects Compaq ProLiant Servers for
Tier One Linux-Based Web Hosting Solution
Multi-Year, $20 million Deal Demonstrates Compaq's Leadership in Linux
Solutions

HOUSTON, April 3, 2002 - Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) today
announced a three-year, $20 million agreement with RackShack, a subsidiary
of Everyones Internet. Compaq will equip RackShack's IT data centers with
industry-standard Compaq ProLiant servers for a tier one, Linux-based Web
hosting solution. RackShack is the dedicated hosting services arm of
Everyones Internet, a rapidly growing Internet and DSL service provider.
The new RackShack solution will feature industry-standard Compaq ProLiant
servers running the Linux operating system and Ensim Corporation's
WEBppliance(tm), one of the industry's most robust and flexible software
appliances for Web hosting.
The new solution offers an upgrade to an existing configuration of "white
box" and Sun Cobalt technology, and will enable RackShack to offer a
price-competitive, premier dedicated Web hosting service with the highest
levels of reliability and performance. Ensim, a Compaq partner, provides
the WEBppliance software that transforms a Compaq ProLiant server into a
high volume Web hosting appliance. Compaq's SMB Organization, Compaq
Financial Services, Ensim, and Compaq reseller HPM Networks collaborated to
provide RackShack with the right solution to meet their business and
technology needs.

"This agreement underscores the value of our partner-centric model which
positions us for success with businesses of all sizes," said Jim Milton,
senior vice president and general manager of North America sales and
marketing, Compaq Computer Corporation. "The reliability, scalability and
performance of Compaq ProLiant servers, combined with our strong
partnerships with Ensim Corporation and HPM Networks, and leasing supplied
by Compaq Financial Services, helped provide Everyones Internet and
RackShack with a complete IT solution."
Product Reliability, Customer Satisfaction
"Everyones Internet has grown about 100 percent over the last year and we
needed an IT partner to support our growing business," said Robert Marsh,
"Head Surfer" (President and CEO) of Everyones Internet. "We knew about
Compaq's success in optimizing its ProLiant servers to meet performance and
scalability requirements for both enterprise and emerging businesses. This
experience, combined with Compaq's market leadership in deploying Linux, its
strong partnerships, and its ability to provide leasing options, made them
the hand's down winner against competitors such as Dell, Sun, HP, and IBM."
According to the agreement, RackShack will immediately deploy approximately
1,000 ProLiant DL320 servers and purchase an additional 8,000 to 10,000
servers over the next two to three years. By fostering a close relationship
with its customers through extensive customer and channel programs that
drive innovation, Compaq established a consistency and trademark reliability
that benefit customers and solution providers.
"Compaq ProLiant Servers are the market leader and enhance our ability to
deliver IT solutions to our enterprise, service provider, and SMB clients,
such as Everyones Internet," said Charles Miano, vice president of Business
Development for HPM Networks.
"Doing business through the Compaq Referral Program lowers our overall cost
of doing business, allowing us to focus on delivering value-added services,
and gives us access to a wide array of Compaq products, services and
solutions," said Romi Randhawa, CEO for HPM Networks.

"We are pleased that our long-standing relationship with Compaq has enabled
us to deliver a comprehensive, end-to-end business solution to one of our
most demanding and successful service-provider customers," said Andy Kim,
vice president of marketing at Ensim. "Over the past 60 days, RackShack has
built enormous sales momentum in the dedicated server marketplace, and
moving forward we think that kind of performance should become
business-as-usual with the reliability, scalability and manageability that
Ensim and Compaq together bring to the table."
