Version 18d of CMUCL (CMU Common Lisp) has been released. This is a major
release that has been ported to a new platform, OpenBSD/x86.

This version features several changes including significant performance
enhancements, support for hierarchical packages, auto-loading of logical
pathname translations, better Gray streams support, facilities for adding
clean-up and advanced command processing capabilities for user input,
better module management capabilities, debugger enhancements, improvements
to disassembly listings, and numerous ANSI compliance fixes and bug fixes.

CMUCL is a public domain, mostly ANSI compliant implementation of the
Common Lisp language which runs on most Unix systems. It provides a
sophisticated native code compiler, debugging and profiling utilities, an
Emacs-like editor written in Common Lisp, Xlib and Motif bindings, and
more.
