GOODBYE BEST LINUX, WELCOME BACK SOT LINUX

Technology Center Hermia, Tampere, Finland - April 24, 2002

SOT, the publisher of Best Linux, has announced today a change
of name for its popular Linux distribution. The company is
returning the distribution to its former name, SOT Linux, last
used 4 years ago in 1998.

"Changing the name back to good old SOT Linux is now possible,
as Sweden is no longer our primary market focus. Several
years ago we were obliged to change the name from SOT Linux,
because the word "sot" means "disease" or "soot" in Swedish,
neither of which were considered desirable by our marketing
department. Now, I am very pleased to able to return to our
original label. Some of our customers took exception to
the name Best Linux, thinking we were claiming our Linux to
be the best, and I personally got tired of explaining that
the name referred to our belief in Linux as the best OS.
In any case, I personally believe that SOT Linux is still
one of the best linux distributions in the world." explained
Santeri Kannisto, CEO of SOT.
