Hi

I am pleased to announce the second release of MAT (Monitoring
& Administration Tool). This version has many new features.

MAT is a distributed management tool for Linux, SunOS, and
Solaris machines. The tool provides an easy to use GUI interface
from which the sysadmin, or designated user can administer many
of the common UNIX configuration files from a remote machine.

The current release of the tool can add modify and delete:
	Users, Hosts, Groups, Mounts,
        Motd, DNS client config,
	Services, Cron jobs, Syslogd,
DNS records, Exports, and NIS maps.

The monitoring tools allow you to inspect:
	Diskspace, lastlogs, Sys logs,
        routing, exports, and processes.

New this release:
        - DNS server tools
        - NIS master tools
        - NFS server tools

Some for the key features include:
        - Can administer many hosts from a single console.
        - The ability to deligate responsibility to others.
        - Easy upgrade of the agent binary from the GUI.
        - DNS, and NIS servers are easliy managed.

I've uploaded it to sunsite.unc.edu. It is in the /pub/Linux/Incoming
directory. Here is the updated *.lsm file.

Enjoy

Mark
