Subject: [ANNOUNCE] ftape-4.02 and utilities, floppy tape driver for Linux

I'm pleased to announce the version 4.02 of ftape.

4.02 fixes some bugs still present in 4.01. Specifically, the Ditto EZ
controller (4Mbps controller for Ditto Max (Pro)) should be better
supported with 4.02.

ftape-4.02 supports internal floppy tape drives which conform to the
QIC-40/80/3010/3020 (i.e. TR-3) standards, as well as the Ditto 2GB
and the Ditto Max (Pro).

Certain parallel port floppy tape drives are supported as well
(Colorado Trakker, Iomega Ditto and certain other tape drives with
Micro Solutions' "BackPack" interface).

ftape-4.02.tar.gz         --  the kernel driver

ftape-4.x-doc-1.03.tar.gz -- the documentation for the ftape
                             driver. Includes a new version of the
                             HOWTO with a more up-to-date list of
                             supported tape drives.
