FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VENDOR SHIPS PC EMULATOR AND MACOS LIBRARY FOR APOKALYPSE

MIAMI, FL -- Sept 1, 1998 -- Computer users who have wanted to take
advantage of the advanced security features and new software available
for Linux-based systems such as Apokalypse(tm) but didn't want to leave
their PC or Macintosh software behind don't have long to wait until they
can run all three in the same environment. Al Guerra Enterprises, Inc.
announced that it has begun shipping early versions of its compatibility
packages.

PC/ET(tm) is a PC emulator that emulates hardware and software.
McClone(tm) is a software library that provides a Macintosh-compatible
environment. Although they are based on earlier models of the PC and
Macintosh and are still under development, both packages are included in
source code form on the latest pre-Apokalypse CD.

Apokalypse is a Linux-based operating system for PowerPC-based Macs and
clones running on the Mach microkernel. Although it too is under
development, it will offer several user-friendly enhancements while still
providing the sophisticated features of an advanced operating system like
Linux.

"While these packages are by no means finished, they allow hobbyist
programmers and other interested parties to see what is being developed,
and to modify the code to suit their personal needs" says Al Guerra,
president of the company. "Of course we'll be providing updates as
development continues further, but we're encouraging others to experiment
with the code and to join in the development process just as in the
spirit of Linux and the open-source movement."

The preliminary version of Apokalypse, dubbed pre-Apokalypse, uses the
RedHat Installer, by RedHat Software, Inc. and is based on MkLinux DR3, a
version of Linux developed by Apple Computer, Inc. and The Open Group and
made freely-distributible. The CD which pre-Apokalypse is shipped on also
contains the source code to the system, a complete X 11R6.3
implementation with several different window managers, a complete suite
of internet tools and servers including the Apache web server, games,
programming tools and languages such as egcs and PERL, and the tetex
document formatting system.
