Subject: Linux 2.1.124ac2

Well 2.1.124ac1 worked suprisingly well so I merged a few more pending things
and the back merge of the miscellaneous bits from 2.0.36pre13. I've not
merged stuff with 'active maintainers' like parport where Im sure any
change that is in .36 if relevant is either in 2.1.x already or will be
soon. Hopefully I've not missed anything or trodden on too many feet.
