Subject: ANNC: Generic-03 Kernel/Server Pair

GENERIC 981004 (#3)

This release is a combination of a mach kernel and matching linux server.
I will upload the source code changes to the cvs server on globegate
tomorrow. It's just too slow to do something so massive without a direct
ethernet connection. :-)

Mach Kernel GENERIC-981004:
   Bug fixes since GENERIC #2:
Corrects the -e flag to turn on PB1400 expansion bay support
(the previous version was mostly backwards, so -e
turned it off). This may also fix the freeze
                reported on PB5300s. (dgatwood@globegate.utm.edu)

Incorporates the printf patch, which supposedly fixes
something to do with firewall logging -- change is
                to mach_services. (dgatwood@globegate.utm.edu)

Support for Mouse Systems 3 button Mice (unknown origin,
                by way of Amal Phadke)

vmlinux GENERIC-981004:
This server is based on linux 2.0.35-osfmach3, and incorporates
a number of patches, listed below, along with the purpose of the
patches and the contributor (to the best of my knowledge).

                                                be built as a module

module.patch Gary Thomas Fixes some problems with
by way of newer versions of modutils
Tom Rini and makes sure the modules
                                                directory exists.

The Mach Kernel goes in your extensions folder (MacOS side), and the
other two go into your mach_servers directory (MkLinux side).
