From: cg@pobox.com (Cees de Groot) Subject: SGMLtools - sample DocBook HOWTO's available. Date: Wed, 14 Oct 1998 09:51:04 GMT -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- With the imminent release of SGMLtools 2.0, which will be DocBook-based, I've ran all current HOWTO's through the Linuxdoc->DocBook converter that will be bundled with it, and from there through the SGMLtools 2.0 HTML backend. This serves as a proof-of-concept that conversion of HOWTO's from Linuxdoc to DocBook is feasible. The results are available on http://www.sgmltools.org/HOWTO, and I hope that this action will encourage HOWTO authors to start preparations for the conversion. Instructions for this conversion are on the webpage as well. Note: this was a batch run, without any manual touchups or intervention. If your HOWTO isn't there, it didn't convert. This could mean that just a single tag was incorrect, so please don't jump to conclusions if you miss your HOWTO. Suggestions, reactions, etcetera to the SGMLtools mailing list at sgml-tools@via.ecp.fr.
