Subject: URGENT: LyX Development Team's PLEA FOR HELP

Hello,

I hope this isn't too late for today's new edition.

I'm a part of the LyX development team and over the weekend the machine 
that hosts our www.devel.lyx.org web site and all the cvs repositories 
died a horrible death and we lost everything!

Lars has managed a partial reconstruction from various checked out
copies of the cvs tree but what we really need is a new machine (the
old 486 that died is again being used and we have our fingers crossed 
that it will keep us going for a while longer) or someone willing to 
host the cvs repositories.

I have therefore written to you to ask that you might squeeze a few
lines into your Development Projects section about our plea for help.
As you can imagine the final testing and minor bug-fixing of the LyX 
1.0.0 release has been affected by this downtime.  BTW, last weeks 
report incorrectly listed LyX-1.0.0 when it should have been 1.0.0pre2.
We'll probably have one more prerelease before the true 1.0.0.

If anybody is willing to help, please send to the LyX developers list
at lyx@via.ecp.fr.
