Today I tried to install 5.2 on my work machine. FTP'd the files yesterday and began the install today. Had the same problem of not being able to find the RedHat tree on hda1. I had already used windows explorer to rename the "RPMS" directory two times to make sure it was in upper-case. (Checked it in dos and it appeared to be.) So I used alt-F2 as was suggested before, mounted hda1 with "mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /tmp/hdrive" (after creating an /hdrive directory on the supp.img floppy under /tmp) I did an ls on hda1 and lo and behold the RPMS directory was named "rpms". I unmounted (umount /tmp/hdrive) the drive, rebooted back into Windows 95, went back into DOS and did the following rename "rename rpms RPMS". This did it! I was able to install 5.2. Everyone on this list seems to be having the same problem, so I though I'd pass my experience along to save someone else.
