More than 60,000 Linux enthusiasts have registered to be notified of the
availability of the no charge download of Corel® WordPerfect® 8 for
Linux®.

The download will be available exclusively from CNET [www.download.com]
starting Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998 until Dec. 22. After that date, locations
for download will be posted at http://linux.corel.com.

president and chief executive officer of Corel Corporation. "When we first
set up the registration process we had no idea what type of response we
would receive from the Linux community. This response indicates that Linux
