Date: Mon, 14 Dec 1998 01:50:50 +0100 From: Alexander Kjeldaas <astor@guardian.no> To: linux-kernel@vger.rutgers.edu Subject: International kernel patch v2.1.131.4 International kernel patch 2.1.131.4 is available. The idea of the patch is to collect all crypto patches so that using crypto in the kernel will be easier than today. The patch is available from: ftp://ftp.kerneli.org/pub/linux/kerneli/v2.1/patch-int-2.1.131.4.gz The new feature of this release is that CIPE 1.2.0 was added and that the ciphers are now modular. Some work is needed to add idea and blowfish to the cipher-api and convert CIPE to use this api. The following has changed since the last announcement (2.1.130.1): 1998-12-14 Alexander Kjeldaas <astor@guardian.no> * International kernel patch 2.1.131.4 released. * Added util-linux-2.9e patch to Documentation/crypto that makes all the loopback ciphers available to the losetup utility. 1998-12-12 Alexander Kjeldaas <astor@guardian.no> * International kernel patch 2.1.131.3 released. * Added the popular CIPE (crypto IP encapsulation) made by Olaf Titz <olaf@bigred.inka.de> * Previous patch wouldn't build. International kernel patch 2.1.131.2 released. 1998-12-11 Alexander Kjeldaas <astor@guardian.no> * International kernel patch 2.1.131.1 released. * Clear sensitive memory before kfree in generel loop module. New upstream kernel. 1998-12-11 Patrice Lacroix <tootix@writeme.com> * Modular ciphers On the ftp-site, the directory /pub/linux/kernel is a normal kernel-mirror while /pub/linux/kerneli is a kernel-mirror plus the international kernel patch. You should find all utilities needed for using crypto in the kernel in /pub/linux/kerneli/net-source/.
