Hi!

just one or two important news about Linux-Mandrake. Can you drop a note
on your next thursday LWN news page? :-)

- some users have experienced problems with Linux-Mandrake
5.2 FTP downloading. There were various causes and we hope everything is
ok now. Nevertheless, due to a strong demand from users, we start a new
experience: we have put a first iso9660 image for CD-burning on a
FTP site:

    ftp://linux.origo.no/pub/linux/mandrake/mandrake.iso

we hope it will be useful for users in order to burn Linux-Mandrake CDs
easily. Just download mandrake.iso and burn a CD with it (with cdrecord
under linux, or with any cd soft under Windows). Note: it's 550 Mbytes

- Linux-Mandrake 5.2 GPL Edition cheap CDs shipment has started in
Europe and in the USA. We are still looking for new distributors,
especially in England, Ireland, northern Europe (Sweden, Norway,
Finland, Denmark...).

- The PowerPack Edition is delayed for 15 days for various reasons and
will be available first in: USA, Australia, Canada, Europe. The
PowerPack will contain Corel WordPerfect 8.0 Personal Edition (I've
tested it last Sunday - wouaouh!). A complete description of the
PowerPack will be available on our pages (http://www.linux-mandrake.com)
on thursday.
