After a day-long power outage at CNRI, we're experiencing unexpected
hardware problems with the python.org machine.  This affects ftp, http
and mail service.  We're trying to fix it or replace the machine, but
it may be a while.  In the mean time, please use one of the mirrors
for ftp or http service -- from Tim Peters' post:
