Subject: Announce jrex v1.1 alpha

Hi

From the number of requests for info on the Java 2 port, it would seem
that there are many other out there who are under pressure to move to
Java 2.  I've now developed a remote executor which allows for remote
compilation of java. We will use this until Java 2 is release and
stable, so we can move development on.

Our environment is that we have a nice powerful Linux box, but use NT
workstations. Using the remote executor
we can retain our Linux development environment but submit compilation
to the workstation. We can live with running the compiled program under
NT only for the time being.

If this sounds as though it might help you, drop me a request and I'll
mail you the source. Who knows, it might even take some pressure off the
Java 2 porting team.
