there being a dearth of information having to do with the issues
involved in installing, configuring, and using linux on the toshiba
portege subnotebook computers, today a list has been established for
users of this machine/operating system combination so that they might
help each other in the absence of anything useful (or, it can be
argued, even truthful) from toshiba.

as is the case with all mailing lists, it's as good as the participants
make it. so come aboard!
