Subject: More Good Smalltalk News

In similiar fashion to ObjectShare (ParcPlace) Smalltalk VisualWorks NC
releases, which have been infinitely more popular (download wise) than
the NT variant, I just got a tip from one of the guys at GemStone, that
they're releasing a GemStone NC for Linux for VisualWorks. The guys at
GemStone invented/pioneered the notion of a multi-user concurrent object
database, back when the world had barely even heard of objects. This is
totally cool news. For years, big database prices have kept people from
using GemStone much less playing with it. The best OO database is now
there for Linux! No official press release yet... I'll send one as I see
it.
