From: "Scott Stancil" <sstancil@ddaccess.com> Subject: LOCAL: Hampton Roads, VA - Peninsula Linux Users Group Date: Thu, 4 Mar 1999 21:14:48 GMT =====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE===== I am announcing the formation of the Peninsula Linux Users Group (PLUG - http://www.linuxforum.com/plug) in Hampton Roads, Virginia. We realize there is already a Hampton Roads Linux Users Group (HRLUG - http://hrlug.runlinux.org); however we are targeting users north of the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel and south of Richmond. The first meeting will be held at the Main Street Library main conference room on Wednesday, March 10th, at 7:00 p.m. This will probably be a short meeting lasting less then an hour. Topics: * Focus/Format of the LUG * Involvement with Linux Forum. * Solicitation from members ideas or actual work for a website for PLUG. * Ideas for a more permanent location, agreement of time and day. * Gauge local interest for this group. Directions: From I-64 take Mercury Blvd. towards the James River Bridge. Make a right on Jefferson Avenue. Get in the left hand lane and turn left on Main Street. You will go under a bridge for trains. The library is on your left next to a firestation. If you make it onto Warwick Blvd, you have gone to far.
