The ExtremeLinux Track program is up at

We are being sponsored by IBM, Redhat, SGI, Compaq, Portland
Group, and Paralogic. IBM is additionally providing us with
a 12 dual-processor-node netfinity cluster on the floor.

More than 150 people have aleady pre-registered. Thanks for
the great response! And if you havent registered already,
you can ofcourse still do so at the expo.

The word "ExtremeLinux" refers to cutting edge computing being done on Linux, for example, the development of advanced filesystems and  networking, "Beowulf" style Scientific and High Availability Clustering, and parallel and distributed programming.

The purpose of this track is to serve as a platform to expose Linux based clustering to the wider business and Linux communities, to introduce cluster design and programming to the development community, and to foster collaborations between high performance applications and kernel developers.

Extreme Linux will have its own booth, #127, where we will demonstrate a multitude of applications running on 3 separate clusters. The Extreme Linux track consists of 2 BOF's, 6 speakers and 2 tutorials. Topics covered include replacement of expensive massively-parallel machines with cheaper Linux clusters, filesystem development, and metacomputing, with BOF's on (a) Linux Clustering: tools and kernel support needed and (b) Advanced Filesystems.   

 The Saturday ExtremeLinux Tutorial sessions, for which track registration (at a cost of $35) is required, will be on (a) benchmarking and workload measurement and (b) cluster design and management.  Additionally, registration will enable access to detailed tutorial notes, book giveaways. You can register(if you havent done so already), at the the main registration counter.
