May 14, 1999 - e-smith, inc., based in Ottawa, Canada, is rolling out two
new programs to help other enterprises profit from e-smith's Linux-based
Internet communications server, called the e-smith server and gateway.
                                                                    
                                                                    
RESELLER PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM e-smith now offers technical assistance to
Network Solutions Providers (NSPs) that would like to integrate the e-smith
server and gateway into their client offerings. Through the reseller
partnership (which costs US $1,500/year) e-smith provides support to NSPs
in selling, implementing, and supporting the e-smith server and gateway.
                                                                    
The e-smith server and gateway software is open source and e-smith does not
charge the NSP for installing the software.  Through the e-smith reseller
partnership program, NSPs that lack in-house Linux expertise are able to
offer their clients a reliable, simple, and incredibly cost effective
Internet server option that is based on Linux.  The NSP remains the primary
customer support contact, but can turn to e-smith for technical assistance
when necessary.

in offering a Linux-based option."
                                                                    
The e-smith server and gateway is a Linux distribution that transforms a PC
into a thin communications server (SMTP, POP3, web, etc.).  The software
installs automatically and the server is configured and administered using
an attractive and easy to use interface.
                                                                    
                                                                  
DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM e-smith is also rolling out its development
partnership program.  Through this, e-smith offers development consulting
to enterprises that are using the e-smith server and gateway as a
development platform.  The development partnership costs US$1,500.
