Without actual code to look at, it's difficult to say where they're going.
The ftp.replay.com directories are empty. I can't get into ftp.kha0s.org.
Last december, they expected to have code up by march.

I don't know what to think of this bit from the updates page:

We've put togeather what I think will be a very strong development team.
Consequently, I have deceided to make the developer's mailing list
private. In the next month or so, I'll create an "announcements" list.

Not that we're hiding anything ;) kha0S will be disclosing fully our
decisions made during the develo is more conducive to the
process.

Look for future additions to this page re: our full disclosure policy.

I have difficulty seeing how such a project could gain wide acceptance
with a closed development process this early on... Also, they seem to be
starting from scratch. Considering the amount of work that has been
invested in installation and packaging issues, not starting from a
stripped down existing distro would be a mistake, IMHO.

Their goals seem to be largely compatible with ours, so at the very least
we should try to avoid duplicated efforts.
