Greetings!

Here is the 5th issue of Midgard Weekly Summary, created
for helping people interested in The Midgard Project to
keep up with latest developments.

-----

-New Midgard web site
A new version of The Midgard Project's web site has been
launched today. While the layout and overall architecture
stays the same, this new version has been designed with
newer versions in mind, and contains many useful features
that will help the Midgard user and developer community.
Feedback and discussion on the site is welcome at the
Midgard mailing list (midgard@greywolves.org). For more
information about the new site, please read the release
 announcement.

-Schedule for Midgard 1.1
The release date for next major release of Midgard, the
version 1.1 has been postponed slightly. Jukka will be on
vacation during the week 26 but Midgard 1.1 should be
out at week 27. The new Midgard version will contain
some new features, and will provide users easier
integration with other PHP-based solutions by cleaning
the interface between the core PHP module and the Midgard
 extensions.

-Looking for package maintainers
Currently The Midgard Project is looking for people
interested in maintaining the Midgard binary packages
for various platforms. Currently we have Debian
covered by developer Teemu Hukkanen, but at least
RPM and possibly other packages would also be nice
to have around. If you are interested, please contact
 Jukka Zitting (Jukka.Zitting@iki.fi)
