Stable debian is glibc 2.0, too. We uses glibc 2.0 for SuSE Linux 6.1, because most commercial tools wasn't ready for glibc 2.1. For example StarOffice and Insure++. And glibc 2.1 had to many bugs (a reason, why RedHat 6.0 uses a glibc 2.1.1 snapshot, no real released glibc version). > > Is SuSE 6.2 going to be glibc 2.1? Some (most ?) of the german glibc developers works for SuSE, so we have no real technical problems with it. But 6.1 was to early for glibc 2.1 because of missing commercial applications. SuSE Linux 6.2 will base on glibc 2.1.1 (I hope on 2.1.2, if this is released in time). > > We are currently working on this.
