Today, IndyBox Systems (based in Indianapolis, Indiana) announced they
would be introducing their Intel Pentium Xeon based systems, the XE
Series which start at $2300.00, with one of the many Linux distributions
pre-installed. i.e., Caldera Open Linux, Debian GNU/Linux, Mandrake
Linux, Red Hat Linux, Slackware Linux, S.u.S.E. Linux, and Red Hat Linux.
Their 6U rack mountable XE version starts at $3100, with a wide array
of hardware options all optimized for Linux.

IndyBox Systems Chief Executive Charles Martin said "with the recent
offerings of cracker-jack Linux boxes by many other companies, we are
offering high-quality solutions at prices lower than the "white box"
prices.

Martin added, "we have no comment in respect to our "K7" Athlon product
release." This announcement follows the release of IndyBox's $400.00
XA Series based upon AMD's powerful line of CPUs ranging from the K6-2
all the way through their work horse K6-III! In addition to their other
releases of the XL Series which start at $675! However, IndyBox released
the number of unique hits to have surpassed 5,200,000 within the first
3 hours after the release of their dual processor Intel Pentium II/III
product release which start at a cool $1000.00!
