The OSWG will post submitted designs to their Web site to allow the Open Source Community to vote on their favorite design. All artwork should be generated with Open Source tools and subject to an Open Source license. Deb Richardson, the project's coordinator and founder, saw a need in the Open Source Community for user-friendly documentation for Open Source software and decided to try to fulfil that need. The OSWG is open to writers and editors of all skill levels. Anyone with a desire to assist Open Source projects by supplying or improving documentation is welcome to join. Any project with an Open Source license looking for help with documentation is encouraged to contact the OSWG.
