Theodore is one of the core Linux kernel developers, having started using
Linux back in 1991, during the days of the 0.10 kernel. Theodore Ts'o has
over the years written, rewritten, or supported Posix Job Control, the
high level tty driver, the serial driver, the ramdisk support,
e2fsck/e2fsprogs, and other bits and pieces of code in and near the
kernel.

Ted is currently leading the development team at MIT working on Kerberos,
a distributed network security protocol used on the Internet. He is also
responsible for the tty drivers and the serial layer _and_ the maintainer
of the e2fsprogs utilities package for the ext2 filesystem _and_ the
maintainer of the tsx-11.mit.edu ftp server. AND he's also the author and
maintainer of the Rocketport intelligent serial board. Ted also works at
VA Linux Systems on technical stuff.
Ted is a member of the Internet Engineering Task Force, where currently
serves on the Security Area Directorate, helping to shape the security
architecture for the Internet. He also serves as a working group co-
- -chair for the ONC RPC and IP Security working groups and is a member of
the Common Authentication Technology working group. Ted is also currently
a member of the Technical Board of Linux International. Ted also works at
VA Linux Systems on some technical stuff.
