32BitsOnline and O'Reilly and Associates Join forces for Book 
Giveaway

Vancouver, BC-Medullas Publishing's 32BitsOnline
Magazine and O'Reilly Associates today announced that they are joining
forces to giveaway books to the Linux and Open Source community. Two
books will be given away each month. The contest may be found

Editor-in-Chief.

"We have always been a strong supporter of the Open Source movement, and
are always looking for opportunities to give something back to the

Associates.

This month, 32BitsOnline and OReilly and Associates are jointly giving
away the first book, "Running Linux  3rd Edition".  The book covers Linux
installation, system maintenance tips, document development to
programming tools and guidelines for network, file, printer and Web
administration.

"Most Linux development projects start exactly because someone has the
crazy idea that they can make Linux do something new and wonderful ---
and usually, they succeed. It seems likely that the popularity of Linux
will continue to grow," said Matt Welsh, co-author of "Running Linux".

About Matt Welsh
Matt Welsh is a Ph.D. student at the University of California, Berkeley
settling in sunny California after spending time wandering around
Europe and braving the harsh winters of upstate New York. He has been a
long-time Linux advocate and developer, a role which saw him fielding
questions from thousands of Linux users over the years. Matt was the
original coordinator of the Linux Documentation Project and author of
the seminal Linux Installation and Getting Started Guide. More
recently, he has been promoting the use of Linux for supercomputing
applications through the Extreme Linux working group. At Berkeley, his
research involves the intersection of next-generation Internet systems
and high-performance computing.
