The new Netscape features security fixes, new 56-bit DES ciphers, export-grade encryption, and various bug fixes. The development of Netscape Communicator for the LinuxPPC platform is one part of LinuxPPC Inc.'s leadership role on the Linux/PPC platform. Daniel Puertas <dpuertas@linuxppc.com>, the company's Chief Technical Officer and Silicon Valley representative, maintains the port, and works with Netscape staff members in bringing Communicator to LinuxPPC.
