Raleigh NC to Lead East Coast Operations


Oxford, MS (Nov. 18, 1999) -
Sair, Inc. announced today the opening of an office in Raleigh, North Carolina to direct east coast operations in response to the growing worldwide administration of Sair's Linux and GNU training and certification program. 

“We are pleased to announce the opening of our new office in Raleigh,” said P. Tobin Maginnis, president and founder of Sair, Inc.  “Our expansion was driven by the growing demand for our Linux and GNU certification training materials.   The Research Triangle is home to some of the best and brightest talent in the high-tech industry and we are excited to have a presence in the area.”

Sair has selected Tammy Chin and Brent Fox to head the new East Coast Division .  “I am very confident in Ms. Chin and Mr. Fox’s ability to set the foundation of our Raleigh office,” said Maginnis.  “I welcome them to the Sair team and look forward to their participation in the continued development of our program and the growth of the open source community.”

One of the initial projects Sair’s East Coast Division will be to assist in the development of  a series of Linux training materials for Compaq Computer Corporation.  Sair recently partnered with the world’s second largest computer manufacturer to develop internal training materials for Compaq’s key personnel worldwide.

SAIR, an acronym for Software Architecture Implementation and Realization, is an Oxford, MS-based software development company that produces educational and corporate training materials and certification exams for Linux and GNU.

Sair Linux and GNU Certification is the first comprehensive, in-depth, and objective certification program to be available world-wide.  Sair's Linux and GNU Certification exams are offered in three levels, each consisting of four tests and is available worldwide through Sylvan Prometric testing facilities.

As of  December 1, 1999, Sylvan Prometric, the global leader in delivery of IT certification testing, will offer four Sair Linux and GNU Certification exams worldwide.  Global publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. announced its partnership with Sair, Inc., and will publish a series of test preparation guides for the Sair Linux and GNU Certification program which will be made available internationally. Corporate training materials have been made available to Sair Accredited Centers for Education (ACEs) and training is available or scheduled throughout the U.S and in countries including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, China, Germany and Japan.
